RWL in the Classroom
Invite Rochester Writing Lab into your classroom! Simply choose from the many sessions available and a local author will take over, providing instruction and necessary supplies, AND get your students excited about where their imaginations can take them.
The Reason Behind RWL
We are advocates for the literary arts and believe every student, no matter the age, deserves a chance to explore their creative side, because not all of us grow up to become mathematicians, scientists, or doctors. Some of us can't help but find beauty in words, constantly striving to write that perfect paragraph that will move a reader to tears (from sadness, fear, or maybe even both!). So, if RWL can provide an opportunity for those students who have a story to tell, then we feel like we're doing something good in the world. And in the end, that's all that really matters.
