About the Event

Rochester Writing Lab is hitting the road to host a Young Writers Workshop in Chatfield!

Surviving School Drama: writerly lessons from fairy tales, movies, and fandom!

What do writers of fairy tales, movies, and fanfiction have in common? Everything! Learn tips from familiar tales about characters, settings, and story creation for every genre, from fantasy to modern-day drama.

If you are a young writer in grades 6-12, join us for a day of writing revelation. Beyond registering for unique, small-group sessions to improve your writing skills, you can submit an original story prior to the start of the workshop for one-on-one help from a local author who will give advice, answer questions, and be a genuine voice of encouragement.
